What gave me an idea of a trunk release? Well, I really got tired of using the key to open my turnk and going into the car to pull the release. So, I decided to install a remote trunk release kit. I have purchased the kit on EBAY for $24. One really important thing to note is that when you are planning to install the trunk release to your alarm directly, make sure you have a relay. If your are just going to use a switch then the relay would not be necessary. Usually when people install trunk releases they drill holes. I didn’t want to drill holes in my trunk, so I went to Home Depot and bought some of the toughest velcro I can find.

This is the trunk release kit I got from EBAY, it came with all the necessary stuff for it to work.

Different vechicles require different mounting positions. So for my car in particular, you would want it to be under the inside trunk next to the keyhole so when it activates it will pull to unlock the trunk. After that got it wired up and it works.
*Important: When using a trunk release with an alarm system make sure you get a 30/40 AMP relay. Ebay seller >> Speacialtyelectronics
For the trunk release, you would just search “Trunk Release” on Ebays search engine.
