I just bought some of this stuff from Home Depo for like $3. GOO GONE removes greasy and sticky problems. I would say from using it, it performs pretty well. Sticky problems would say like a price tag you just peeled off and what was left was the sticky part.

Paint & Varnish
GUM
Grease & Tar
Glue
